It looks as though the "Good Works" show is giving us more feedback. Tonight, I riff on the comments left on http://wholelotofnonsense.org by a friend of mine from Switzerland, Timm. He is an awesome photographer, and he and I have had some good conversations about what it means to do good things in the past... so, it's awesome to have some feedback in this series from him. You can find Timm's website showing his photos and blog.
First time in MONTHS we've been able to run together. Knee Surgeries (yes, PLURAL!) , gland removal surgery (I'll spare y'all the details of THAT one...!) , infections, and allergies made for a very long but successful recovery period. (Longer than ANY of us wanted it to be!)
Now, at 100% "recovered" , love love LOVE having my buddy back.
After last weeks show about "Good Works", I got an email from a minion of mine who let me know that there was this conversation going on between a couple of people... about the Whole Lot of Nonsense PodCast. Believe me that I'm humbled and honoured that Scott and Stewart took the time to talk about what I shared. And Stewart's concluding point? Gives us a great jumping off point for some other discussion tonight.
Tough run, but NAILED it. Cold, tough to get out the door, but bright, sunny day, BEAUTIFUL weather, other than the cold, which was surprisingly not too tough to deal with.
Tried to record some video...not sure how well it came out.
End of a GREAT week running / training-wise. Yay, ME!
GREAT run. Set out as an "Easy" run but ended up being more of a "Pace" run. 6 miles at 9:05...can't complain about THAT! Was sick this weekend, missed my weekend long run AND Monday 3 miler. Rocking this one made me realize I made the right decision to "skip" both. Feelin' good and strong...and most importantly, HEALTHY! -phew- Looking forward to finishing this week strong. This weekend's long run WAS a "step down" week, but I'm going to replace the 12 with the 15 that I missed.
