Rockin' the Red Grange Statue (http://tinyurl.com/ydbwalv) pose in front of Memorial Stadium (Finish Line for the Illinois Marathon!) at Mile 15.75 of my 22 mile Long Run. Didn't nail the pose exactly right, but I don't think Red had a cheap Camera-Phone in his other hand...

SOLID 15 Mile Long Run

Good, solid, not-too-fast, not-too-slow Long Run. Average pace was a little mis-leading, as splits were all over the board. (2nd 1/2 Split was 1 minute slower. Thought it woudl be more than that!) CRAZY wind played into every one of these miles. For the miles that I was going into the wind (Wind out of S) , I was running toes-over nose, gritting my teeth just to keep moving forward. CRAZY!
BUT... I'll take the crazy wind and bright sun (75 degrees!) over the cold and ice ANY day.
All in all, a great 15.
